Monaco & Pisa

Sorry guys, I didn’t update yesterday’s adventures… They go a lil’ something like this.

 We woke up nice and early, and were off to breakfast. While eating the cruise ship pulled up to Monte Carlo, Monaco. The view was absolutely breathtaking. The dining area is full of windows so everyone had a view.

After breakfast we dropped off Penelope at Camp Carnival. This is a day care center. Because P is under the age of 2, she is only allowed to be dropped off during certain time frames. Usually it’s between 6:30am-12:00pm. We took advantage of this service, and dropped her off early.  She made no fuss what so ever. When we checked up on her (roughly 10 minutes later), she was on the floor playing with giant Legos with another little girl. So cute I wish I had my camera.

While P was at day care, Devon and I went up to the spa for a couples massage. It was magical. We both fell asleep. It was just what we needed after a long night with a crying baby. After our massage Devon had a haircut, while I had a manicure and pedicure. My toes are red and my nails are pink! Yay!

The spa made us sleepy and lazy, but we got dressed and headed off the boat. We only made it to the end of the pier, before we decided that it wasn’t going to be productive trip. We took a few snaps of a horse show that was being televised, and of some of the scenery, and then we headed back for the boat to take a long, long nap. Because D and I have been here before, we didn’t feel like we were missing much.

Even though we had a family nap, Penelope was not completely rejuvenated. We sat down for dinner, and she was miserable. Crying, screaming, and rubbing her baby eyes…poor Nellie.  So we had to leave dinner before our meals were served. So off to bed she went. Thankfully, our meals were sent up to our rooms. While we ate, Devon and I watched The Dilemma, and then we went to sleep.

Today was more eventful. Again we woke up early and dropped P off at Camp Carnival so Devon and I could enjoy breakfast together…in peace. J When we picked her up 30 minutes later, we left for our first excursion. We went to Pisa, and yes, we saw the leaning tower. We had a great guide. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. Everyone in our tour group loved Penelope! Here are some pictures of us in Pisa.

 When we got back to the boat, it was lunch time. So we headed for our cabin and ordered room service, while P took a nap. When she woke, we got her in her swimsuit and headed for the pool deck. Nellie isn’t allowed in the pool because she isn’t potty trained so we brought her inflatable bath tub. It’s in the shape of a duck, and it brought a lot of attention to her, which she loved!

Right now it’s about 8:45pm. Penelope is in bed, but at 10:00pm we are going to carry her to the day care center. They are opened from 10:00pm-3:00am. So Devon and I are going to spend some alone time together. Tonight there is a magic show that we plan on attending.
